Delete your KREDS account

 

You can delete your KREDS account and the personal data attached to it at any time. There are two ways to do it.

In the app

 

This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately. Open KREDS, go to Account, and tap "Delete my account". You will be asked to
confirm. This works whether your membership is active or still awaiting approval.

By email

 

If you no longer have the app installed, write to hello@kreds.dk from the email address on your KREDS account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm once it is done, normally within a few days and always within 30 days, as required by the GDPR.

 

If you write from a different address we may ask you a question or two to confirm the account is yours. That is to stop somebody else deleting your membership.

What is deleted

 

Your name, email address, profile photograph, job role, workplace, and any employment-verification document you uploaded are removed. Your member number stops working and you will no longer be able to sign in.

What is kept, and why

 

Records we are legally required to retain for accounting purposes are kept for five years, as required by the Danish Bookkeeping Act (Bogføringsloven), and are then destroyed.

 

Anonymised counts — for example, the number of discounts claimed at a venue in a given month — may be retained so that partner venues keep accurate historical statistics. These carry no link back to you: your name, photograph and contact details are gone, and nothing in what remains identifies you.

Deleting the app is not the same thing

 

Removing KREDS from your phone does not delete your account. Use one of the two
routes above.
