Lavendelstræde 13, st, 1462 København, Denmark

Tucked into Lavendelstræde in the middle of Copenhagen, Not Your Usual has been doing exactly what its name promises since 2017. Daniel and Vasile, have built a wine bar built around a simple idea: the world of wine is bigger than Sancerre, Bordeaux, and Barolo, and it's more fun when you go looking for what's outside the frame.

The list focuses on wines from countries that don't get their due — Moldova, Slovenia, Hungary, Lebanon, Portugal, and Denmark — with the classics from Italy, France, and Spain always available if you'd rather stay on familiar ground.

The tapas plates are built to match, so a glass and a plate genuinely play off each other rather than just sharing a table.

They also run twice a month on Tuesdays blind tastings that make learning about wine feel like a game rather than a lecture, and they take private bookings for groups who want to turn a birthday, a graduation, or just a good excuse into something more interesting.

Why Not Your Usual Winebar joined Kreds

"We joined Kreds because it's a cool idea."

That's it, honestly — and it tracks with how Daniel and Vasile run the place. The whole point of Not Your Usual is welcoming people who are curious and giving them something worth being curious about, and Kreds brings exactly that crowd through the door: hospitality people on their days off, ready to try a Moldovan blanc de blancs or a Lebanese red they've never heard of. If you're a member, come by, show your Kreds, and let them pour you something you haven't had before.
