A family-owned sandwich bar that’s been a Vesterbro favourite since 2008, now also on Frederiksberg. Smagsløget built its name on one simple idea: sandwiches that are genuinely big, made fresh, and worth the trip. Premium Danish free-range pork, pickled vegetables from Samsø, homemade salsas and sauces, and a menu generous enough that regulars will tell you one sandwich is easily enough for two.
The classics do the talking: a proper Danish flæskesteg with pickled cucumber and red cabbage, the house favourite loaded with Danish ham, brie, bacon and homemade salsa, and a full vegetarian and vegan range alongside them. Low-key, no-fuss, and built for people who want something real rather than something fancy, whether that’s a quick bite on the move or a sandwich worth sitting down for on the terrace.
Why Smagsløgets joined Kreds
They’ve been feeding this neighbourhood since 2008, and a lot of the people who keep it running are the ones serving everyone else all day. Kreds felt like an easy way to say thanks: come in on your day off, get something properly big, and treat it like your break deserves.
